Job Description

The Lead, Data Science role will support execution of research and delivery of insights for Dynata clients in EMEA and APAC, in addition to providing data processing, data integration, and data augmentation support. The Lead, Data Science will be responsible for executing, delivering, and explaining a suite of data science products and research activities to Dynata clients in EMEA & APAC. The successful applicant will also be responsible for data integration and data augmentation workloads across Dynata geographies. This role involves direct interaction with internal and external client stakeholders so strong written and oral communication skills are required with the ability to independently write, analyze, and present findings.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as statistical research advisor to internal & external stakeholders supporting Dynata’s EMEA/APAC clients and their research needs
• Provide execution and delivery support for data science products and research activities in EMEA/APAC.
• Designing, managing, analyzing, and delivering high quality advanced analytics, including visualization of research findings, summary of findings and recommendations, and presentation to clients.
• Provide execution and delivery support for data integration, and data augmentation workloads
• Assume management responsibilities commensurate with expanding delivery requirements over time.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a data science role with evidence of success or advancement
• Very strong background in SQL
• Knowledge of Alteryx and/or Python is a plus
• Very strong background in statistics and statistical hypothesis testing
• Strong programming skill in the R statistical language is required with a good understanding of a broad range of standard packages in R (Tidyverse preferred)
• Thorough understanding of regression and GLMs, clustering, and classification
• Strong communication and presentation skills; highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working under minimal supervision with a high level of initiative, energy, and enthusiasm for learning
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with tight deadlines while maintaining a strong client service orientation
• Highly proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SPSS a plus
• Master’s degree in relevant quantitative discipline, PhD is a plus
