Job Description

Dynata is seeking a Senior Manager to join our Advanced Methods team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for supporting Dynata’s Corporate, Consultant and Investment Portfolio providing market research advanced techniques (including by not limited to various conjoint methodologies, segmentations, driver analysis, etc.) across consumer and business populations for some of the top companies across a variety of industry sectors such as consumer product good, media, technology, retail, finance, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with sales to scope and design bespoke complex business objectives into meaningful research insights.
  • Tackles the most complex projects findings solutions for clients
  • Ability to train new employees on the implementation/analysis of advanced statistical techniques essential
  • Correlation/regression (including various “relative importance” and “path” models)
  • Experimental design and part-worth modelling
  • Factor analysis, segmentation, and classification/predictive algorithms
  • Various mapping techniques
  • Familiarity with basic machine learning concepts/algorithms a plus
  • As our core-business remains providing sample, a good understanding of core sampling techniques/methodologies and weighting concepts would be a plus
  • Willingness to explore new techniques, methodologies, and software to help meet client objectives and improve team profitability
  • Recommending courses of action to both internal and external clients
  • Have a firm grasp of the most frequent market research analytical techniques, and able to communicate when/why they should be applied to clients
  • Being up-to-date on the most common data visualizations, when and how they are used, etc.
  • Able to guide external clients in the interpretation of their own data, while providing “narrative” and interpretation support to internal stakeholders (on internal initiatives)
  • Provide support to leadership and conduct special projects as required
  • Handle other job duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 8 years in Market Research experience serving in a client-facing capacity with responsibility for research direction.
  • Understanding of experimental design principles
  • Strong background in a variety of quantitative research methodologies and data processing techniques and platforms.
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative and deduction skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • People management

Preferred if you had the following Experience/Qualifications (But not Required):

  • Direct experience with survey programming, data processing, or data tabulation.
  • Additional knowledge/experience working with Python, SAS, or SQL
  • MA/MS
