ABOUT THE TEAM

The Pricing Engineering Team at Stitch Fix pulls together market insights, sales data and inventory position to be proactive about our price strategy. The mission of the team is to deliver the right prices, at the right time, optimizing for client delight and inventory efficiency. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be involved in creating data driven solutions that have the ability to deliver the right price, unlocking tangible business value. Your work will directly contribute towards representing the value of our service, experience and product offerings. 

You will work within a distributed team of 4-8 software engineers and cross-functional partners including product, design, data science, finance and merchandising operations. You will be working with a team of full stack engineers with varied backgrounds who thrive in a collaborative environment. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and are able to develop strong working relationships with coworkers and our cross functional partners.

This is a remote position available within the United States. We operate in an agile-inspired manner, collaborating across multiple time zones. We build modern software with modern techniques like TDD, continuous delivery, DevOps, and service-oriented architecture. We focus on high-value products that solve clearly identified problems but are designed in a sustainable way and deliver long term value.

  • Partner with teams such as data science and merchandising, creating new tools to support pricing strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders while participating in the technical discovery, decision-making, and execution of complex and/or critical projects within the team.
  • Operate as an engaged member of the engineering team - participating in Sprint ceremonies, providing input on technical design documents & project plans, pairing with other engineers to work toward a solution, etc.
  • Model consistently delivering sustainable results against measurable goals.
  • Proactively communicate status updates or changes to the scope or timeline of projects to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Actively engage in professional development and growth.
  • Find new and better development practices that align with business priorities.
  • Influence other engineers toward alternative solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and improve the on-call experience for others.
  • Write and review code across the full stack (Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Postgres).
  • Write clear, maintainable code

  • You have hands-on experience with running modern web stacks (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Javascript, etc).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. In addition, the position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. Applicants should apply via our internal or external careers site.

Salary Range

$142,000—$152,000 USD

This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers.
