Job Description

Your tasks:

• Creating and maintaining jobs that process large amounts of data
• Optimizing database queries
• Building a system based on data streams
• Ensuring the reliability and scalability of the solutions being built
• Development of tools for monitoring and analyzing the operation of the production system
• API creation and development (REST, GraphQL)

Using tools and technologies:

• Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Redis, Flask, SQLAlchemy, GitHub, Sentry.

Our expectations:

• Experience programming in Python or Node.js
• Knowledge of concurrent and asynchronous programming
• Very good knowledge of relational databases
• Ability to design and implement APIs based on REST or GraphQL
• Knowledge of Linux and containers
• Experience working with large data sets
• Communication, ability to work in a team

An additional advantage will be:

• Experience in creating distributed systems
• Knowledge of the Google Cloud platform
• DevOps skills
• Good knowledge of Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Kafka, Storm, Spark

Sample topics:

• Creating a job that calculates aggregates based on raw data
• Development and implementation of a solution enabling the construction of complex pipelines
• Building a data replication tool using Apache Kafka
• Expansion of the system for monitoring resource consumption by users
• API data layer refactoring
• Optimize BigQuery queries by using partitioned tables or materialized views
