As an Applied Data Science Intern, you will be spearheading the effort to drive Data-driven Insights, by connecting multiple sources of information, cleaning, analyzing and structuring them into business-relevant recommendations that drives future Innovation strategy. In your role, you will be leading your own project, partnering with internal technical and commercial function, and, external partners, based across the globe.

A Day in the Life of an Applied Data Science Intern

• Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and integrate R&D data from multiple sources into creating insights on consumer preferences, product, quality, business and sustainability metrics
• Predictive Modeling: Develop and fine-tune predictive models that transform insights into actionable recommendations enabling data-driven decision-making on product and proposition
• Data Visualization: Create visually compelling reports to communicate findings and trends to technical non-technical stakeholders within the broader organization
• Experimentation Support: Assist in designing and improve Design of Experiments to evaluate the impact of different product formulations and features on consumer satisfaction and other business goals
• Collaboration with external partners: Be the key contact for projects involving external partners, managing regular interactions and providing technical guidelines on advance analytics, including establishing validation/verification protocols of their work
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest data science techniques, tools and industry trends to bring innovative solutions to the team

What will make you successful

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Advanced Analytics or a related field with a strong academic record
• Coding Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/R/AzureML for data analysis, machine learning, and data manipulation
• Data Manipulation: Solid understanding of data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering techniques to work with real-world, messy data
• Machine Learning: Familiarity with machine learning algorithms, model evaluation, and hyperparameter tuning
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical findings to non-technical team members
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges in the F&B industry
