Regional Data Lead - Commercial Analytics & Marketing Science

Position Snapshot:

  • Travel: depending on the project assigned, averaging below 10% 
  • Permanent contract, hybrid work environment
  • Experience: advanced analytics such as revenue growth management, marketing mix modelling, attribution, dynamic pricing optimization
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science or equivalent
  • Fluent Business English 

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Regional Data Lead to join our Analytics and Data Integration team to scale up Nestlé’s Commercial Analytics & Marketing Science initiatives internally within LATAM region. As the Regional Data Lead - Commercial Analytics & Marketing Science, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced analytics solutions in LATAM region that empower our organization to make data-driven decisions and optimize commercial and marketing operations. You will also lead a Regional Team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers in Argentina and Mexico. You will work closely with relevant teams distributed in different hubs globally and liaise with external partners and internal stakeholders all while adhering to the Nestlé’s Project Management methodologies. 


A day in the life of a Regional Data Lead - Commercial Analytics & Marketing Science:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product strategy and vision for Commercial Analytics & Marketing Science Analytics solutions for LATAM and maximize the value of the global product(s). Align the roadmap with organizational goals, market trends, and customer needs. Drive innovation and differentiation through the application of advanced analytics techniques.
  • Product and Project Development and Delivery: Using expertise in data science and advanced analytics, co-lead end-to-end product and project development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and analysts, to define product requirements, identify resource needs, prioritize features, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of analytical solutions. Follow up the KPIs for each project and consolidate Program Level reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as commercial teams, marketing, executives, and suppliers to understand business requirements, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for analytics-driven insights. Foster strong relationships and effectively communicate product value and impact. Manage supplier relationships (support contract management, risk & issues management).
  • Product Performance and Optimization: Continuously monitor and assess the performance of analytics solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Proactively seek feedback from users and stakeholders to enhance usability, accuracy, and relevance of analytical outputs.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends, identify market gaps, and inform product development decisions. Anticipate customer needs and develop strategies to address them proactively.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and provide guidance to a team of data engineers and data scientists in Mexico and Argentina. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture, empowering the team to excel in their roles and deliver outstanding results. 

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, data science or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working in advanced analytics such as revenue growth management, marketing mix modelling, attribution, dynamic pricing optimization. 
  • Knowledge and proven experience in CPG industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and advanced analysis using SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Experience with commercial analytics platforms, marketing automation tools, and BI reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams in global and virtual environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and actionable insights.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
