General Summary:

The Financial Data Scientist is responsible for maintaining best-in-class metrics, analyzing business performance, and developing statistical models to improve our operational performance and help us provide better software and services to our partners. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to leverage data and analytics to diagnose underlying trends in our pipeline, Sales, and Renewal performance that leads to stronger outcomes for the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the FP&A teams, with a high attention to detail
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Performs thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can guide business strategies
  • Identifies gaps and disconnects within existing metrics, develops comprehensive strategy of integrated, best-in-class metrics, drives consensus across the organization and partners with Data Services to implement enhanced data models
  • Designs, develops, and implements machine learning models and algorithms that enable predictive and prescriptive analytics to solve complex business challenges
  • Devise and conducts experiments to test hypotheses, refine models, and enhance the performance of AI algorithms
  • Creates clear and compelling data visualizations and reports to effectively communicate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into decision making
  • Ensures data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout all stages of data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Stays up to date on industry trends and advancements in data science, IT Solution Partner channel and the broader software industry

  • Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable work area
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business and partner requirements
  • Knowledge in developing predictive and machine learning models
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Self-motivated and able to adapt and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experience 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: experience in a SaaS environment

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
  • 0-10% travel may be required
