Job Description

The Director - AI and Data Science is responsible for for leading the development & deployment of data science and AI- based solutions at an enterprise level while operating in a truly collaborative and cross functional manner. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, business knowledge and an ability to successfully operate in a dynamic & cross-functional work environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and implement value generating AI-based solutions
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners for effective solution delivery
• Understand business problems and translate them to an analytic context. Identify the right analytic approach either through prior experience or through experimentation.
• Identify and implement up and cross skilling programs for the organization in new areas like Generative AI.
• Hands on involvement in solution development esp. in the design phase.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in AI, Machine Learning or Data Science
• At least 3 years of experience in managing a team of data scientists
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Fair understanding of the mathematical concepts of machine learning : Linear Algebra, Probability, Calculus
• Deep understanding and implementation experience of MLops.

Desired Qualifications 

• Good familiarity with Generative AI modeling approaches (LLMs, embeddings, search, chatbot, agent)
• Understanding of Databricks or AzureML
• Understanding of R&D or Commercial functions
