Job Description

As a Global Manager of Data Science, AI within Finance solutions domain you will be a senior individual contributor in a team of data scientists / ML engineers providing DSAI solutions across finance capability areas (e.g., planning & forecasting, accounting & reporting, revenue management, audit compliance & control).

You will ensure the successful roll-out of the roadmap for DSAI Finance solutions in alignment with the strategic priorities in partnership with DSAI and Platform & Architecture teams.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Leading a team of data scientists across multiple geographies and finance capability areas (internals & externals), operate as a coach
• Oversee data science resources and deliverables for assigned projects. Ensure on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio. Prioritize resources allocations, tasks, and manage external vendors resources.
• Conceptually overview end-to-end data flows and business consumptions of DSAI solutions and ensure reusability across various use cases.
• Partner with Data engineering & Vis. and Architecture teams for demand analysis, solution proposal/evaluation, funding estimates and setting up the team for end-to-end delivery
• Partner with other data science organizations in Sandoz Technology, play a part to global DSAI platforms, tools & methodologies & approach strategy.
• Follow industry trends and emerging practices to drive agility, speed, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Minimum requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research or Engineering. Proficient English written and spoken.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, AI & ML or related fields with specific experience of building statistical models for addressing financial and business topics. Expertise in Statistical modelling / ML
• Advance level skills in Python and at least one of the Deep Learning frameworks Tensorflow or PyTorch.
• Consistent track record of DSAI/ML operations in industry experience and excellent understanding of complex enterprise Data landscapes and different system relationships
• Experience mentoring junior Data Science and Machine Learning roles.
• Experience in Agile project delivery and general management in an international environment is an advantage
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to present features and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of business processes and ability to “speak the business language” when talking about DSAI/ML subjects

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience on Pharma industry is a plus
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and some of AWS, databricks, JupyterHub, Jenkins, Bitbucket, QlikSense, Alteryx is an advantage
