Your Impact

• Your products will be used to build the world’s AI. You will build experiences that make AI a core skill set for engineers, data scientists and nocode operators everywhere.
• You will set the technical direction for Clarifai’s user interfaces and its application ecosystem. You will mentor and manage Clarifai's global frontend team and expand our presence within the greater frontend engineering community. You will define the systems and processes that maximize productivity and developer happiness.

The Opportunity

• You are passionate about using your frontend engineering expertise and leadership to broaden the reach of our artificial intelligence technology and make it easily accessible to all skill levels. You will:
• Manage and mentor our global team of frontend engineers
• Improve processes and systems needed to accelerate product development and increase developer happiness
• Contribute with handson engineering, code reviews, software architecture and product vision
• Cocreate solutions with various departments using user feedback
• Collaborate closely with the product, design, backend, infrastructure, and machine learning layers.
• Become an expert on our technology stack (React, TypeScript, and Javascript, other modern web technologies)
• Ensure team is building out CI/CD pipelines for Web based applications that promote releasing high quality code quickly and efficiently across environments
• Guide developer and QE manual and automated testing/quality assurance of our frontends

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a customercentric Engineering Lead or Manager for the frontend team at a high growth tech platform companies
• Advanced experience developing with cutting edge javascript frameworks like React, Next.js, ReduxSaga.
• Solid experience with one of the test frameworks (Cypress, Selenium)
• Diverse experience working in agile environments as an engineer, an architect and as a manager
• The ability to plan and execute short term and long term road maps that benefit our customers
• The ability to improve processes to make your team more effective
• Provide code reviews and overview for product architecture

Great to Have

• Experience with/Understanding of AI/ML
• Active contributions to open source projects
• Experience or understanding of Full Stack engineering (golang, datadog, postgres)
