Opportunity

Join us for a 12 week summer internship program specifically designed for students pursuing their Ph.D., Master, or bachelor's degree in computer science, machine learning or any field related to a technical discipline. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with world class research and development teams in the areas of Computer Vision (CV) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). You will work closely with our researchers and engineers, be part of the global Clarifai community, and contribute to meaningful projects that potentially span multiple areas. Most of the internship will be remotely.

Impact

You would be expected to contribute in the following areas:

• You will work closely within business engineering teams and have end-to-end ownership for design, development, testing and fixing
• You will work closely with your Mentors and Managers
• You will evaluate requirements, create, test and implement features and end products
• You will research and develop innovative ML strategies for challenging problems that will affect future Clarifai ML solutions
• You will have opportunities to receive technical mentorship and guidance from industry experts and prepare technical reports for publication and conference talks

Throughout the internship you will gain hands-on experience with various tools and programming languages in the field of machine learning and engineering

Requirements

• You are a student who is pursuing your Phd, Master, Bachelor degree.
• You are self-motivated, an excellent problem solver, a go-getter
• You are quick to build relationships and work well with change and ambiguity
• You have development skills in Python/Golang or any other relevant programming language
• You have theoretical knowledge, or practical experience experience prototyping, and delivering advanced algorithmic solutions and contributing to production ML systems
• Good written and communication skills in English 

Great to have

• Demonstrated research experience with track record of publications at conferences and journals
• Knowledge/ experience in information retrieval models and metrics, including embeddings and ranking approaches
• Knowledge/ experience in at least one deep learning development toolkits such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
