The role purpose and scope: -

We are currently looking for a product manager to help us build advanced capabilities throughout our flagship products based on Machine Learning techniques. Such techniques must add meaningful value to our customers by:

  • Detecting and overlaying their business context to all the insights we discover and project.
  • Improving the accuracy of our insights by finding the right signals in interaction data that we collect.

  • Reducing the operational overhead of our products by automatically determining contextually right defaults and configuration for a customer.

As a Product Manager, your role would entail understanding our customer landscape and product interfaces, and then determining ML capabilities that can add value as described above. You would work with all stakeholders to ensure your definition is going to add the right value to customers.

You would define and own the product roadmap, write requirements that help the engineering teams to build and evaluate solutions, define, and enable the go-live strategies for these features including enabling teams like SRE and Customer Success teams to operate these capabilities.

You would define clear metrics that evaluate success criteria, track progress from various customer environments and determine improvements needed in the product for the same.

Your daily operations would also include:

  • Leading sprint planning to ensure appropriate sequencing of user stories to drive impact in a timely manner.
  • Joining daily scrum meetings to address any queries from developers and to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of each release.
  • Joining early client calls to ensure successful product adoption and resolution of issues.

Experience and skills

  • Education qualifications must include:
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics.
    • An MBA or Diploma in product management is preferrable.
  • 2-6 years of product management experience in technical product companies.
  • Experience in building products that involve data science and machine learning.
    • Additionally, experience in building products that have ‘platform’ capabilities for other engineering teams or for end customers is a bonus.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced startup-like culture (even if within a large enterprise) would be preferrable.
  • Must have relevant experience in all stages of a product lifecycle from definition of product roadmap to go-live and iteration.
    • Must have excellent abilities to work with a highly technical engineering team.
  • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
