About the Role:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Seerist, a growing company that is creating the most exciting technology and tools for predictive security analysis on the market. The Director of Intelligence will work closely with Seerist’s Head of Intelligence to accelerate the implementation and execution of Seerist’s content and analysis strategy. It will be central in shaping the output of an industry-leading team of country political risk experts, building new intelligence capabilities within Seerist, and expanding the types of content available on the platform in order to capture new commercial opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to have a significant role in a rapidly growing company and team, and offers an opportunity to play an active role in that growth process.

Responsibilities:

• Play a leading role in the development, review and implementation of new content and/or analytical products for Seerist.
• Manage the production of new research/analytical projects.
• Support the Head of Intelligence on other projects relevant to Seerist’s intelligence strategy, including the evaluation/integration of new data sources, or new data models within Seerist.
• Contribute to editorial processes to ensure that analytical content produced is timely, relevant, and actionable to Seerist’s client base. This could include engaging directly with editors and analysts to shape coverage of political, operational, economic, security, and cyber risk issues.
• Support client and market surveys or interviews to establish client requirements for analytical content on Seerist.
• Create and maintain dashboards or other reporting to enable tracking of analytical content.
• Collaborate with other colleagues in Seerist to ensure analysis is directly related to other types of content within the platform.

Required Qualifications:

• Deep experience in intelligence or political risk, in either a government or commercial context.
• Skilled in open-source intelligence (OSINT), including use of relevant tools.
• Strong knowledge of political and security risk issues and ability to connect these issues to relevance across a diverse set of clients and users.
• Excellent writing and editorial skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback on written products.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in using or developing analytical methodologies to assets threat and risk.
• Experience in training intelligence/analytical teams.
• Problem-solving oriented.
• Self-sufficient, robust experience in managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Able to organize and prioritize across a range of tasks and direct stakeholders as required.
• Comfortable translating complex goals and concepts into actionable work plans.
• Flexibility – we’re a small company that moves and reacts quickly to the needs of our users.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience conducting research on the deep and dark web.
• Developing team processes or work flows, particularly in the context of intelligence teams.
• Experience developing OSINT tools or teaching OSINT technique.
• Comfortable with data analysis and basic data science concepts.
• Experience managing a team.
