About the role:

We are looking for a hands-on, results-oriented, intellectually curious, self-learning Data Scientist to join our Product Analytics Team. Our mission is to discover actionable insights regarding our customers and use that knowledge to create data products that will improve our products, customer experience, and business performance.

You will work with data from tens of millions of users and billions of data points. Specifically, you will focus on advancing our analytical framework through predictive analytics, experimentation framework, and automation. Example projects would be LTV (lifetime value) prediction, early signal analysis for performance and retention, and advancing the statistical analysis of AB testing.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Learn and stay current with the latest techniques in statistical and machine learning and apply them to our business challenges.

• Develop and maintain predictive models, classifiers, and other data products that will be used for driving user engagement and increasing retention.

• Support and advance our model for predicting LTV

• Identify and analyze customer behaviors for use in tactical and strategic decision-making and integration into our processes, operations, and products.

• Manage whole lifecycle of the models end to end (development, deployment, maintenance), which will require from you also data engineering work

• Support and advance our experimentation framework to provide conclusive AB test results

• Work with Engineering and Product teams to ensure the appropriate metrics and dimensions are incorporated into our data sets and to integrate our data products into our infrastructure.

​What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:

• 2+ years' work experience in a data science role.

• Excellent communication skills with strong ability to synthesize key insights into actionable solutions

• Ability to build, test, deploy and iterate statistical models and report on model performance.

• Proficient at creating and analyzing large multi-dimensional data sets using open-source, parallel-processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark.

• Proficient with Python, SQL and Jupyter analytical notebooks

• Working knowledge of statistics (eg. statistics for evaluation of ab tests)

• Working knowledge of machine learning and its application on driving user engagement and user retention improvement

• Working experience with data science work on a cloud (Azure or Google Cloud or AWS)

• Experience with Google Cloud technology stack is a plus (our stack includes Google Cloud, Spark Airflow, Docker and Anaconda).
