Position Summary:

As a Data Analyst for the operations team, you will assist in operational strategy and planning, data reporting and analysis. You will also oversee and monitor clinical program enhancements, operational programs related to member experience, quality of care, delivery of training programs, and process improvement initiatives to meet the objectives defined in the operational work plans.

General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

  • Provide data analysis expertise and strategic input to the development of clinical programs
  • Work consultatively with clinical and finance leadership on ROI and clinical program effectiveness monitoring, inclusive of all Alignment Health Plan’s clinical programs.
  • Work with CMO, Clinical Leadership, Operations Leadership, and Finance to set financial targets and identify process improvements that will result in cost of care improvements, while improving clinical outcomes
  • Monitor and analyze daily, monthly, and annual actual versus expected inpatient acute, observation, readmission, skilled nursing utilization, etc. identifying off track performance.
  • Assist with developing SNP Dashboards to track SNP outcomes and trends; communicate off track performance to stakeholders/accountable leaders
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the business environment and business requirements (e.g., strategy changes, emerging business needs)
  • Design and deploy training programs for business initiatives that span business units, such as software implementation and new lines of business
  • Identify appropriate training methodologies and communicate to stakeholders (e.g., leadership, training staff, business partners), in order to drive adoption
  • Identify non-training solutions to address business needs/performance gaps, where appropriate (e.g., organization design, leadership development, change management, team dynamics)
  • Oversee training metrics and performance improvement strategies
  • Ensure clinical and other operational programs are optimized to meet organizational objectives
  • Identify and address implementation obstacles/issues as they arise (e.g., scope changes, resource availability, competing priorities, leadership support, low participation)

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with business leaders creating business solutions

Education/Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in healthcare administration, public health, life science, business administration, or comparable experience
  • Master’s degree recommended

Other:

  • Expert level of skill with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Power BI tools
  • The ability to write and develop materials from subject matter experts
  • Experience with WebEx, MS Teams or comparable tool
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects, including long-term strategic initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering training programs
