Job Description

ConcertAI Patient Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist intern. In this role, you will work with a mentor and a small team responsible for designing, prototyping, and developing new algorithms to enable brand new capabilities for our clients. You will be assigned a specific problem to address, and provided access to real-world data, to address the problem and propose and develop a solution. This work includes data exploration, analysis, and predictive/descriptive modeling. You should have a good mix of programming/computer science and stats/math. You will also work with the engineering team to build prototypes and models for new product development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can take a novel problem and develop a unique solution.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of other Data Scientists to understand and help translate business issues and opportunities using advanced analytics models
• Implement feasible analytical solutions to business requirements
• Develop analytical models following best practices
• Ensure that their models' assumptions are well documented
• Present the results of the model and analysis to executive team at the completion of the internship.

Requirements

• Rising senior in Bachelor’s program or Master’s student in Computer Science or related field, with a strong technical foundation in SQL, statistics, and programming.
• Good analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
• Must be eager to learn, self-motivated, flexible, accountable and can effectively handle multiple tasks at one time
• Ideal candidate has experience in programming in Python (e.g. pyspark, pandas), and experience manipulating data sets with tools such as SQL, Redshift.
