Job Description

Calix would like to welcome a new Cloud Data Pipeline Intern to our team! We’re looking for someone with excellent knowledge in Big Data skills and a very strong aptitude for understanding technologies in our product space - a skills/attribute pairing proven to be a key success factor for this role.

You’ll gain experience working with Cloud Data Pipelines and working to create solutions in Data Pipelines using cutting edge cloud technology. Successful candidates in this role have proven to be highly self-motivated, flexible, and thrive in fast-paced environments. The duration of the program is expected to be 90 days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate with Calix partners on data architecture assessment and design, including data normalization, standardization, and transformation.
• Collaborate with Calix partners to Design and build Data Pipelines.
• Collaborate with Calix partners on Optimize and improve data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Calix partners in Design review and code review.
• Work closely with Calix Cloud teams.

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and oral communications skills (essential).
• Junior or Senior standing in a bachelor or master's degree program from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of and experience with Big Data, databases (SQL), and programming with pyspark/python.
• Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Passion for data and analytics.
• Technical aptitude demonstrated through classes completed or work experience.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a concise but effective manner.
• Strong initiative and good problem-solving skills.
• Availability: May/June to August 2023, 10 weeks (full time).

• Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.
