Key Responsibilities

Work with R&D teams of our Biopharma clients, and collaborate with a team of Biologists, Medicinal Chemists, Computational Chemists, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Web Developers, Cloud Engineers, and Solution Architects to create the next generation of innovative computational biology solutions for drug discovery and development.

• Understand and analyze disease studies, especially the ones associated with genomic disorders
• Understand and implement omics data pipelines for multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics or proteomics, and metabolomics)
• Understand and implement pipelines for Antibody Engineering across discovery, development, and manufacturing, furthering therapeutic solutions
• Develop programmatic tools and workflows that automate the analysis of biomedical datasets
• Analyze high-throughput experiments to assess data quality and identify hits
• Explore, profile, and visualize biomedical datasets which reveal novel biological insights and support Drug Discovery or Clinical Development activities
• Handle, analyze and interpret large-scale ‘omics datasets and or genetic data, including genome-wide approaches
• Work as a member of a cross-functional team, that brings together the best-in-class Informatics, Drug Discovery, and Translational Medicine capabilities to tackle the scientific challenges
• Investigate, prototype, and implement new scientific capabilities and disseminate the latest Bioinformatics, Data Science and Computational Biology research trends and developments throughout the organization
• Generate knowledge graph/pathways (signaling pathways, metabolic pathways)
• Conduct structure analysis and structural biology activities

Desired Skills/Expertise

• Masters or Ph.D. in Biology with focus on computational methods
• Experience working with a variety of biomedical data types, e.g., structured data, unstructured text, genomic data, etc.
• Experience in processing and analyzing transcriptomics and/or NGS datasets (such as scRNA seq or epigenetic data) using Bioconductor packages (e.g., DSeq2, edgeR, Limma) and other related toolkits (e.g STAR, Salmon, Kallisto, WGCNA)
• Expertise in the analysis and interpretation of ‘omics data (genetics, transcriptomics, epigenomics or proteomics)
• Excellent communication skills with a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams
