Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Research and develop machine learning systems for model training and inference.
• Research and develop new ML algorithms for next generation mobile, wireless networks.
• Prototype new ideas and technologies to create proof of concept (PoC) and demos
• Contribute to MediaTek’s drive on developing AI-enabled next generation mobile chips through patentable ideas.
• Effectively communicate with global product engineering teams and standardization teams.

Salary range: $149,000- 255,000

Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. Requirements

• PhD degree in Computer Science with experience Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.
• Around 3+ years of industrial experience in Machine Learning (Regression, Classification, Clustering etc.), Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning and Federated Learning algorithms
• Experience with ML frameworks, such as: Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, Caffee, etc.
• Knowledge on wireless networks, 5G/Beyond 5G wireless and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC)
• Understand recent ML research papers and adapt those models to solve practical problems.
• Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure and deadlines and easily adapt within a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Plus

• Some experience with wireless standards, e.g. 3GPP Releases.
• Knowledge of sparse AI models and model compression/encoding.
• Familiarity with building cloud systems and/or using cloud services for machine learning.
• Familiarity or experience using knowledge graphs.
