Business Analytics is tasked with helping the company achieve this vision by providing data and driving the adoption of analytics insights in everything we do. As a Data Science Technical Program Manager, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your technical program management experience and work with Data Scientists to design & develop new models. You will take business requirements & translate it into data requirements thereby defining the data sources and plan towards sourcing & modeling the data. You will work with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Account Management and Risk to help upsell and cross-sell WePay products and to help improve our partners and merchants’ experience. The right individual will know how to translate a business issue and design the right analysis to find the answers, fluent in using SQL, python and other big data techniques, and adept at developing insights and building narratives to support key initiatives. You’ll scale and improve WePay’s services and applications by overseeing operations, launching new capabilities, and improving our existing process.

What You Will Do:

• Drive long-term, strategic initiatives, and projects that involve our users and products
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives & data dependencies
• Lead or collaborate with engineering leadership on key projects, including identifying and investigating issues, developing project plans, allocating resources, and defining resolution processes
• Build new and scalable processes that can be widely adopted (governance models); 
• Provide project management for engineering and product efforts, cross-team integrations, notes, AIs, and product launches
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
• Manage roadmap and goal planning, communicating status and big picture to the project team and management
• Provide clear communication to engineering leadership regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities
• Manage ambiguity, work autonomously, multi-task, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems across cross-functional teams
• Will drive quarterly roadmap & resource planning activities and deliverables
• Work with product and engineering teams to define project requirements and scope

What We Are Looking For:

• 5+ years experience as an Technical Program Manager
• 3+ years of experience in Data modeling space doing quantitative data analysis
• Excellent balance of planning, organizational, technical, and communication skills
• Strong background in delivery excellence and proven track record of building programs to scale
• Fluent in SQL, and experienced with a statistical software package and/or a programming language such as R or python.
• Experienced with Looker,Tableau, Chartio, or other data visualization and BI tools
• Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
• Comfortable handling sometimes ambiguously-defined problems, developing creative solutions and delivering against tight timelines.
• Proficiency in influencing and negotiating at an executive level
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, and proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• A team player that collaborates well across cross functional teams to drive towards a common goal.
• B. S. or M.S. in a quantitative field, such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science

Base Pay/Salary

• Palo Alto, CA $137,750.00 - $225,000.00
