To help realize this goal, they are leveraging visual analytics platforms to analyze, visualize, and share information. At steampunk you will design and develop on a next-generation Visual Analytics and Collaboration suite.

Contributions

  • Provides support of Artificial Intelligence (AI), to include machine learning, to analyze data for accuracy, authenticity, expectancy, timeliness, relevancy, intelligence gaps, and viability. Identifies and develops innovative investigative, statistical, and predictive value of Government data holdings by evaluating through data analysis and integration.
  • Interprets results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Prepares big data, implements data models, and develops databases to support the business solutions.
  • Works on complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
  • Contributes to efforts related to Social Media data exploitation, including:
    • automated collection and formatting of social media and corporate network information;
    • implementing graph databases to store and process entity network information;
    • extracting network features to compute network-specific metrics;
    • and implementing data science alorithms that enable the parsing of network data.
  • Develops, deploys, and manages statistical, unsupervised, and supervised Learning Data Models with accuracy, precision, and sensitivities.
  • Performs mathematical/statistician modeling to organize, optimize, model, research, mine, and predict new data.
  • Identifies accuracies, precision, and sensitivities.
  • Validates machine learning with statistical modeling.
  • Designs algorithms such as neural networks, decision trees, and surrogate models.
  • Uses Data Lakes, chunking, large file shares, or increased time limits for storage needs; uses serverless computing like Athena/Lambda to handle concurrency, or increased time limits; and uses extract, transform, load standard data formats, or parsing due to lack of infrastructure.
  • Experience executing in an Agile, DevSecOps environment highly desired.
  • Experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCS) system implementations highly desired.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in custom AI training (to include supervised and unsupervised) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) expertise focusing on unstructured data.
  • 5+ years of in-depth knowledge of at least one analytical/statistical language (Closure, Scala, Python, R).
  • 2+ years of experience manipulating unstructured data from different platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Elastic X-Pack (including Graph), Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Experience using Agile and DevSecOps methods and techniques desired
  • Experience with Cloud-based solution implementation preferred
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, Government security clearance minimally at the Public Trust level
  • Must meet U.S. residency requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree, or a combination of experience and education exceeding the degree/education requirements.

An educational background in Data Science is desirable.
