Job Description

Rogo is looking for data scientists to help our financial services clients uncover differentiated insights using data sources as varied as market data, satellite data, credit card data, and foot traffic data. You're going to wear many hats and you're going to grapple with all sorts of technical challenges. You’d be perfect for this role if you have experience in industry as a data scientist, you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, and you’re comfortable taking on a ton of responsibility. What you'll do

• Perform exploratory data analysis, use big data analysis skills, create compelling data-driven analyses, and work directly with clients and prospects.
• Create and customize models and metrics using machine learning techniques, identify relationships within large and seemingly unrelated data, and deliver robust, high-quality data products.
• Make digestible analytic outputs and cutting-edge work flows that will continually delight our users.
• Produce high-quality visualizations, dashboards, and other analyses.
• Create data pipelines with efficient and scalable processes
• Work closely with financial and business analysts to define and develop KPIs for a wide variety of industries and answer key

What you'll need

• You are very comfortable with programming languages used for data ingestion and manipulation (SQL, Python).
• You have experience in ETL, working with data lakes such as S3, standard data warehouses such Redshift, BigQuery, & Snowflake, and related tools/languages such as Databricks & Spark.
• You have an expert-level understanding of one or more standard intelligence/visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.).
• You have interfaced (and enjoyed interacting) with non-technical businesspeople.
• You have experience building new data products end-to-end from data ingestion or web scraping through publishing reports and sending granular data feeds to clients.
• Bonus:
• You’ve worked as a data scientist in financial services or have experience working directly with public financial and market data.
• You’ve worked as a software engineer and want a role where you can contribute and develop as a SWE as well.
• You’ve developed and contributed to interactive dashboards and visualization platforms.
