As a Decision Scientist, you will partner with our machine learning engineers, software engineers, and our Strategy group to aid clients in gaining deeper insights into their product and organization.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Identifying data with which to answer questions that help inform a product roadmap
• Understanding and applying appropriate statistical methods to extract actionable insights on a given dataset
• Communicating statistical findings in a meaningful way to a variety of stakeholders, including product managers, technical audiences, and non-technical audiences
• Identifying and communicating opportunities for improving the overall product or data ecosystem
• Collaborating with client teams of various makeups and reporting project status to the internal AIteam
• Working within a machine learning environment, so a vested interest in machine learning is a must

What we’re looking for:

• Comfort with applied statistics, especially causal modeling and power analysis
• Python and SQL. We mostly use Python - but if you have a lot of R experience and minimal Python experience that’s alright
• Experience in an environment that is doing regular a/b testing or experimental design
• Experience with storytelling using data visualization. We don’t really care which tool you use, just that you have done this before
• More on the storytelling piece - we want someone who has experience presenting technical approaches and findings to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, so we need someone with excellent written communication skills
• Demonstrated professional experience working all the way from identifying data for a specific problem set, selecting appropriate solutions, and presenting the findings of those solutions. Essentially, you’ve worked from A to Z on a variety of data science projects
• Someone who’s resourceful and is comfortable with decision making
