Job Description

Business Intelligence Report Developer will work as part of the Data Services team reporting to the Manager of BI and Reporting.?You will be primarily responsible for developing new stored procedures based on Snowflake Data Warehouses with reports produced in SQL Server 2019 Reporting Services (SSRS) for multiple large-scale clients. This Developer will also assist in converting existing reports from T-SQL, Crystal and SAS to Snowflake and SSRS.

Your Day to Day 

• Design, develop, and maintain various business intelligence applications (reports, dashboards, scorecards)
• Monitor report execution to determine if the run time of the reports is becoming too long and needs optimization
• Provide feedback to the data warehouse build team to alert them to data issues or opportunities to expand the data warehouse to meet client expectations
• Perform extensive unit testing of BI applications before handing off to QA
• Manage their own individual projects efficiently and to schedule with little oversight
• Possibility of assisting DW team with building SSAS cubes, ETL mapping or package updates in order to procure backend data sources and create efficiencies

Skills + Experience Required to Be Successful in this Role

• 5+ years SQL programming experience 
• 3-4+ years of experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services (at least version 2008 R2) 
• 2+ years of Business Intelligence experience writing SQL to query Kimball style dimensional models that contain slowly changing dimensions. 
• Experience coding in a Snowflake Data Warehouse environment strongly preferred
• Experience using source control software, and deploying reports and dashboards from Visual Studio
• Experience with visual dashboard software such as Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense and similar tools
• Strong understanding of data warehouses and data analysis techniques including ETL design
• Able to performance-tune queries
• Experience with SSAS (MDX or DAX) 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
