Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage?the majority of?the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop algorithms/models to address business and technology challenges faced by Group Finance business users and MOT-Finance Platform tech teams
• Understand business requirements from key stakeholders and develop solutions to address their problems, specifically the experimentation and in-depth study of various algorithms and machine learning models
• Measure and quantify the financial/business impact of applying quantitative methods to business and operational challenges
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and exploration of advanced models in the field of A.I and Deep Learning, such reinforcement learning algorithms and generative models
• Operationalize model pipelines into re-usable libraries for the team

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines. Candidates with strong statistics & math backgrounds would be highly preferred.
• Individual with a strong interest and natural curiosity in exploring various technical domains in the areas of optimisation and machine learning.
• 2-5 years of experience in applied statistical learning, machine learning and data science with tangible outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in deep learning.
• Good understanding of statistics, math and optimisation theory.
• Understanding of mathematical fields such as operations research and dynamical systems would be highly appreciated
• Excellent written and communication skills, especially one who can explain how machine learning models and statistical learning algorithms are applied.
• A keen learner who desires to learn and acquire new knowledge both in business and technical domains, as well as to acquire proficiency in new tools, languages and techniques.
• A strong team player who can contribute as an individual
• Extremely proficient in software development, with in-depth knowledge of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, PySpark as well as big-data tools such as Spark, Hive & Alluxio.
