What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Software / Machine Learning Engineer to build the very infrastructure upon which our prediction models will run. You will lead our Data Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure and Development & Operations efforts working side-by- side with our excellent Data Science team. You will succeed in this endeavor with your outstanding mindset, both from an analytical, as well as entrepreneurial and personal perspective.

What you’ll specifically do:

• Design and build practical cloud-based infrastructure solutions in an environment of frequently changing requirements, especially within AWS
• Implement and run data transformation jobs on large-scale computer clusters with frameworks like Apache Spark
• Build and operate complex data pipelines in hybrid cloud / on-prem setups
• Manage and configure Linux-based servers and take over operations tasks
• Help to protect Molab's intellectual property by putting data security first

What you need to succeed:

• 3+ years of practical experience as a Software or Data Engineer in a top-notch environment
• Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure (e.g. Azure or AWS, in general knowledge of different cloud vendors needed), virtualisation and containerisation environments (e.g. VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of the entire software development process including testing, continuous integration/delivery, automated deployment and verification/maintenance
• Experience with operating Linux-based systems, solid Bash scripting skills and application of configuration tools
• Experience in software development with Python
• Knowledge of frameworks like Pytorch, Numpy, Pandas, CUDA
• Knowledge of Terraform
• High degree of ambition for self-improvement and self-initiative
• Very good written and spoken English

Any of the following is a plus:

• Knowledge in applying Jupyter Notebooks
• Cluster computing with Apache Spark
