?What we are looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help develop and deploy our continuously improving data science stack. This is a research-heavy position, in which you will work closely with our expert team on a variety of unsolved challenges both in the fields of AI and (Bio-)Chemistry. Therefore, as an ideal candidate, you have both a deep technical expertise in AI and (passion for) life sciences, as well as a great entrepreneurial and inter-personal mindset.

What you’ll do:

• Build, optimize and train new variants of our deep-learning models
• Design, run and improve our ML Pipeline with data provenance control for both models and datasets
• Own initiatives from inception to implementation - always driving research from start to finish
• Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to key stakeholders internally and externally

 What you need to succeed:

• 3+ years in practical experience as Data Scientist or Natural Science PhD from top-notch environment or truly exceptional talent (ideally evidenced by hard facts)
• The ability to combine both data science (deep learning) and biochemistry
• Python and modules such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, …
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing and transferring deep neural networks to production
• Ability to think critically and perform unbiased analysis
• Cross functional collaboration experience (ideally in research)
• Very good written and spoken English

Any of the following is a plus:

• Knowledge of pipelining tools such as Prefect or SparkML
• Familiarity with using data visualization tools such as Plotly/Dash
• Analytical thinking, scientific rigor and established publication record
• Entrepreneurial mindset and high degree of self initiative and desire for self-improvement
