The College of Science and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas Arlington invite applications for tenured faculty positions in Statistics and Data Science at the associate or full professor level to start in September 2022. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and advising of undergraduate and graduate students in areas of statistics and data science and will have opportunities to develop courses that align with their research interests. Candidates must demonstrate strong record of research program supported by external funding. Faculty are expected to have an active research program that broadens UT-Arlington’s talent pool, collaborate with other faculty, supervise and mentor students of diverse backgrounds and interests, and be involved in service to the department, university, and the profession.

Required Qualifications

The minimum qualification is a doctoral degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related area. Candidates are expected to have an internationally recognized research program and to have demonstrated a solid commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and service. Full consideration will be given to applicants whose research interests align with the University’s Data Driven Discovery research objectives, in particular in the areas of statistical applications, theory, or methods; statistical machine learning; and data science
