Job Description

Our Advanced Analytics team is looking for a Data Scientist Manager, who is responsible for delivering advanced analytics/Machine Learning/Deep Learning/AI solutions. The role requires a broad knowledge of ML/DL/AI solutions, ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, innovative and creative thinking, and a passion & tenacity to materialize the thinking to drive business solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive Michelin’s North American AI effort
  • Work with our business to grow the advanced analytics opportunities pipeline
  • Coach the Advance Analytics team in the design, development, validation, and deployment of machine learning models to the business
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior team members
  • Participate in Michelin’s Global AI effort

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Master’s or higher degree preferred
  • 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience delivering machine learning models in a challenging environment 
  • Deep practical understanding of machine learning model development lifecycle, including executing POC’s
  • Experience with ML Ops and related governance processes with the Azure platform 
  • 2-3 years previous supervising and directing the work of professionals and functional experts would be a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of management 
  • Able to collaborate and work within a team environment. 
  • Experience in an Agile working environment and related project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills using Microsoft Office suite (Visio, PowerPoint, etc.) 
  • Working knowledge of Python, PySpark, R, and other common languages
