Overview

We are looking for a Petroleum Engineering Systems Analyst to join Petroleum Engineering Application Services Department (PEASD), under the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Computer Center (ECC).

PEASD Provides the best in class and high-quality petroleum engineering Information Technology (IT) solutions to Saudi Aramco Upstream communities in a cost-effective and timely manner. The Engineer is expected to lead initiatives and introduce novel ideas to address & solve current business challenges and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be required to perform the following:
  • Support the high-performance computing environment.
  • Develop computational modelling solutions.
  • Identify opportunities and define new business cases that can benefit from Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 technologies in all Petroleum Engineering (PE) domains (Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Simulation, Production and Drilling).
  • Introduce, deploy and promote the utilization of new IR 4.0 technologies and tools.
  • Build the required machine learning models and participate in data collection, Quality Control (QC) and preparation.
  • Architect new solutions and participate in the development from data collection to data prediction and analytics.

Minimum Requirements

  • As a successful candidate, you
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering (preferably with minor in Computational Modeling).
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience or research in data science or computational modeling.
  • Have Knowledge in Data Science technologies and artificial intelligence techniques & tools.
  • Must have the knowledge and experience in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence technologies.
  • Have knowledge in Python/C++/Fortran/Linux scripting (c and Bash scripting).
  • Are familiar with HPC job schedulers (UGE, PBS, Slurm … etc.).
