ABOUT YOUR ROLE

  • As part of our Business Transformation program, you will shape and execute the BI & Data Analytics short/long term strategies in order to generate business value, with ERP being the short term focus area.
  • As a stream leader for the ERP Implementation, you will help to shape Avery Dennison Labels and Material Group for the future. You will work with a team composed of some of the most talented individuals to lead a process transformation that will enable our future success. 
  • You will lead a team and influence across functions as a part of this project – ensuring the right team and talents are in place to set a strong BI foundation in Oracle ERP
  • This role is full time and requires a high level of commitment, a minimum of 3-4 years should be assumed as the anticipated term of engagement. .
  • You will be reporting to the Business Transformation Leader - APAC.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Successfully lead Business Intelligence (BI) stream partnering with internal teams and our external partners (System Integrator)
  • You’ll lead our Data & Analytics strategy definition and execution – in close collaboration with the broader cross functional leadership teams
  • You’ll lead our Data & Analytics organization design and execution – ensuring a strong organization and talents are in place to enable value creation through traditional BI and Data Science opportunities. 
  • Be responsible for the requirements gathering, validation, design, build, test and implementation of Business Intelligence processes across functions (e.g. Finance, Operations, supply chain, commercial etc) with support of the subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Ensure IT delivers solutions for future end to end process using appropriate staffing – System Integrator, functional leads and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Manage the Business Intelligence (BI) stream - resources, delivery, quality, timeline, benefits etc. You will directly lead a team consisting of full-time and part-time functional SMEs. .
  • Produce Business Intelligence (BI) stream deliverables, per program milestones and timeline
  • Manage a scope, quality and timeline, and ensure defined business benefits are enabled and delivered
  • Support cross-stream activities and communication to ensure robust integrated solution
  • Facilitate completeness of process solution with process streams (e.g. operations, Customer Services, finance etc) with inclusion of all financial threads including satisfying audit requirements
  • Create, transfer and train users in the new way of working, incorporating rigor and world class KPIs
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with Business Intelligence (BI) processes including relevant education within Organization Change Management (OCM) and Business Intelligence (BI) teams
  • Also support ERP program management activities, such as:
    • Support AFE creation process
    • Manage Program Business Case - Ensure benefits in the business case are baselined and measurable with commitments to tracking and realizing the benefits
    • Monitor streams to ensure benefit enablers are identified
    • Work with executives and stream leaders to define metrics and tracking mechanisms for benefits
    • Support ongoing status tracking and reporting of the BI & Analytics process stream
    • Support creation of end user training materials, functional standard operating procedures and other necessary supporting documents

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience of one or more BI Platform (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft BI etc) is a must have, ideally within a manufacturing industry
  • Previous experience in Data Analytics and/or Data Science domains is a must have
  • Strong understanding of Data & Analytics across the different business domains (Web, Operations, Finance etc) is highly desirable. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to solve problems
  • Systems thinker with a strong process orientation
  • Respected leader with credibility across functions in an organization
  • Recognized for ability to creatively find solutions
  • Ability to utilize multiple leadership styles as the situation warrants, including the ability to be decisive when needed
  • Ability to rapidly and continually engage key resources/stakeholders for their input 
  • Appetite for change, desire to optimize our Business Transformation.
  • We are looking for individuals who desire to become a future functional leader, who are outstanding communicators, who are decisive, resilient and flexible.
  • Proficient in English
  • Travel within the APAC regions required during planning, design, execution and deployment phases, if and when possible
