Summary

The Senior FP&A Analyst position is the primary resource for financial analysis within the Finance team. This person will be the main point of contact for all things forecasting. This role is highly cross-functional using information from across the organization to assemble dynamic forecasts as well as providing decision support to various functions across the organization. They will also be a voice of truth across the organization by leveraging data analysis and supporting other departmental analysis efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Lead implementation of FP&A software (Netsuite FP&A module)
  • Primarily responsible for creating and maintaining financial models for forecast revenue, gross margins, expenses, and cash. 
  • Work with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain to maintain 12-month rolling forecast and present the monthly and quarterly financial reports
  • Work with Accounting to setup better department budgets & establish feedback loop with stakeholders
  • Provide cross-functional analytics support. Examples include pricing analysis for Sales and labor utilization analysis to Operations
  • Primary contact for ad hoc analysis such as customer retention, job margin review, customer mix, etc.
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast
  • Implement a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports
  • Support preparation of financial reports for senior management and external parties. Be go-to person for senior management's questions and concerns regarding these reports.
  • Identify areas for process and procedure improvements, both within the accounting department and cross-departmentally, with a focus on better utilization of technology to drive those improvements.
  • Assist and/or lead special projects, including selecting and implementing new software systems.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • At least 3+ years of progressive accounting/FP&A experience
  • Strong Excel and/or Powerpoint skills
  • Experience using financial data to make recommendations to business leaders

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience at high-growth technology startup companies
  • NetSuite Planning & Budgeting software experience
  • Experience analyzing large data sets via SQL
  • Experience with ancillary systems like Expensify, CaptivateIQ, Bill.com, Salesforce, TSheets (or similar/equivalent systems)
  • Reporting experience with multiple entities and/or currencies
  • FP&A, treasury, audit, and/or tax experience
