Booking is looking for the Data Scientist to lead the development of the next generation of data science solutions for FinTech and Payments products. 

Partnering with product development teams, this exciting role will provide opportunities to leverage the areas of experimental design, finance, statistical analysis/modeling, and business analysis to drive new sources of business value. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Utilize data and statistical techniques to gain insights and develop actionable analytics;
  • Leverage models where statistical decisioning is appropriate;
  • Supporting new product development through estimates of ROI for new product features;
  • Design and analyze A/B tests for determining product value;
  • Taking analytics ownership of a specific area of the business;

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a relevant role;
  • Experience in A/B testing a must;
  • Experience in payments related field a plus;
  • Experience in most parts of the Data Science product development life cycle (e.g. from problem identification to stakeholder approval/sign-off);
  • Strong technical skills regarding data analysis, statistics and programming; 
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Python, SQL, and/or R;
  • Excellent communication skills; the ability to convey complex analysis results clearly and with conviction to all levels of stakeholders;
  • Experience solving real problems using predictive analytics a plus;
  • Masters or PhD in a quantitative field (economics, computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, bioinformatics, etc.)
