In the Banking group, we help lending institutions make important decisions about their business, particularly when they are providing loans, managing risk, or conducting financial planning for the future of their institution. We do this with our innovative software and reliable analytics, helping them understand how to do their job better through training, learning solutions and advisory services. We are a dedicated team of experts in technology and financial analytics who understand what our clients need.

Role/Responsibilities

Moody’s Analytics is looking for driven individuals to join our team of passionate engineers in creating our next generation of risk management products. At Moody’s Analytics, we believe that data and cloud is changing the nature of financial risk management.

In this role:

• You will join the early stage of projects and participate in defining the platform for the next generation products
• You will build API to cloud-based backend services to enable easy access by internal applications, clients, and partners
• You will continuously integrate and ship code into the cloud environment
• You will develop applications from ground up using a modern technology stack such as Angular, Python, C#, Postgres, MongoDB, SQL Server, and Flask
• You will participate in defining the architecture of modern tools and runtime for operating your code such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• You will work directly with Product Owners to deliver products in a collaborative and agile environment

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in Python, C#, .NET or other object-oriented languages
• Experience working with Flask, Docker, or another framework
• Strong SQL skills especially on SQL Server
• Experience in designing API and documenting through Open API/Swagger
• Experience in Unix/Linux including basic commands and scripting
• Strong knowledge of source control systems and best practices (Git, Merging, Branching, Pull Requests, etc.)
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithm optimization, design patterns, and distributed systems
• Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and monitoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern networking skills working on AWS or Azure is a plus
• Experience with Angular is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
