Job Description

The Analytics team at Mimecast is looking for a smart, passionate, and highly motivated BI/Data Analytics Intern. As an intern, you’ll be supporting the BI & Analytics team on data analysis, reporting, and analytics for different departments across the company. Potential projects include industry benchmarking and whitespace analysis; building dashboards to track KPIs; preparing and transforming data for new datasets and models; and helping to integrate new data sources such as product usage data for new products. This is a great opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience with business intelligence tools and processes.

The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive learner with a passion for data and analytics who can collaborate with stakeholders across all functional areas to review and optimize reporting, analytics, and data enablement all while aligning to corporate objectives. This role requires a mixture of business acumen and technical expertise, along with an ability to build strong partnerships and relationships.

Requirements

• Use data driven methods and work with analytic engineers to improve our analytics landscape
• Gain experience working with stakeholders from various functional areas within the company
• Fine tune your skills in data analysis/dashboard building/PM/Data Science & Data modeling.
• Fine tune your skills in data governance to support Mimecast’s data driven mission
• Analyze data to drive real insights to our sales/Go to Market/Customer/Finance & Product teams
• Utilize project management skills to navigate complex problems
• Create dashboards and build reports concisely & impactfully
• Ad-hoc analysis as required to aid management decision making & business planning
• Advance BI team & corporate goals, promoting a data-oriented culture/insight generation
• S degree in Math/Business/Economics/Finance/Information Systems or related discipline
• Excellent quantitative skills & a demonstrated proficiency with summarizing complex data
