Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Database Manager to join our team in Springfield, Virginia!

The Database Manager has the responsibility for maintaining the COVID Response Team (RT) database using the system to efficiently organize, store and analyze data in accordance with a Data Use Agreement. The Database Manager will use analytical methods to help automate collection of RT data holdings, streamline analytics reports, and apply future requirements to align various systems of data. The RT database is the initial and primary tool utilized to track and monitor past, current, and potential COVID-19 cases.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Maintain an Access database and Dashboard to maintain functionality and develop enhancements
  • Advising and informing RT leadership of database issues
  • Assisting with database procedure updates
  • Coordinating with Battle Captains and Case Managers to address emergent needs
  • Communicating database challenges between RT leadership and shifts
  • Provide RT leadership with recommendations to improve RT data management
  • Create ad-hoc Structured Query Language (SQL) to answer Requests for Information (RFI)
  • Provide user training and technical support via phone, virtual or in person
  • Attention to detail

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance (CI Polygraph preferred)
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience and a Bachelors’ degree – OR – Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience and no Bachelors’ degree
  • Demonstrated experience creating ad-hoc Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Demonstrated experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Strong understanding of complex databases and data analysis procedures.
  • Understanding of relational database design patterns and structure.
  • Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience creating and maintaining dashboards and databases using Microsoft Access.
  • Demonstrated experience of analyzing and interpreting data in Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience providing user training and technical support.
  • Demonstrated experience with data management (i.e., security, permissions, and acceptable usage agreements).
  • Experience working with PII.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior work experience at the agency.
  • Experience working on COVID-19 efforts.
  • Innovating and navigating ambiguity.
  • Customer Service experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • None

SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:

  • 40 (Full Time)

SHIFT:

  • Day

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Must be ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
