About Me

I'm a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in computer science and a passion for data science. I specialize in developing innovative solutions and leveraging data to drive meaningful insights. I hold a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science from the University of Southern California's Viterbi School of Engineering. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in algorithms, machine learning, and database systems. With hands-on experience in Python, SQL, and various data manipulation and mining tools, I have successfully tackled complex data challenges. I am well-versed in utilizing technologies such as Numpy, Pandas, scikit-learn, HDFS, Spark to extract valuable information from datasets and present it in a clear and compelling manner. Throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work as a Software Engineer - Associate at Siemens Digital Industries Software. In this role, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop and test features for a product lifecycle management application. I have a proven track record of redesigning and refactoring microservices to enhance code modularity, as well as implementing parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection attacks. I am particularly proud of my academic projects, where I applied my skills to solve real-world data challenges. For example, I developed a Flask RESTful API to emulate Google's Firebase, allowing real-time updates using Flask-SocketIO. Additionally, I leveraged the Yelp dataset to predict ratings using a Hybrid Recommender system, combining Item-based Collaborative Filtering and XGBRegressor for accurate recommendations. Outside of my technical expertise, I am a dedicated team player with excellent communication skills. I thrive in collaborative environments and value the power of teamwork in driving successful outcomes. As an active member of the Oriana Choir during my time at USC, I have honed my interpersonal skills and cultivated a strong sense of discipline. These qualities have greatly enhanced my ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Being part of the choir has not only allowed me to express my creativity but also ignited my passion for singing. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to harmonize with fellow choir members and contribute to captivating performances.
