Moritz Friebe

About Me

Hi! My name is Moritz, I am currently studying Mechatronics and Information Technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany. During the course of my studies I have discovered a great passion for machine learning systems, and am currently working on a term paper on Neuromorphic Transformers in Embedded Systems. As part of my research I have started learning the basics of building neural networks using PyTorch in Python and integrating neuromorphic add-ons, as well as looking into frameworks for state of the art neromorphic chip architectures such as Lava on Intels Loihi 2. From the beginning my education has been international, with multiple years of school in the USA, China and Germany respectively. I was able to further solidify my intercultural skills during my volunteering work in Uganda, where I singlehandedly set up a network running Linux for teaching computer courses to refugees. This has led me to become a good communicator, even across language barriers. I have no doubt that I will feel at home in a diverse and multicultural team of coworkers. My widespread field of studies has driven me to become a fast learner and an independant worker.
