Role: Computer Vision & Robotics Intern
Location: Hybrid – Lawrenceville, PA
Type: Full-Time, Paid Internship
We’re looking for a driven and curious Computer Vision & Robotics Intern to join our R&D team in advancing perception and robotics systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to real-world projects involving stereo vision, deep learning, and real-time robotics software.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate advanced methods in visual matching, depth estimation, and 3D reconstruction.
- Process image and sensor data to enhance motion estimation and localization.
- Support migration of robotics components to modern frameworks and benchmark performance.
- Prototype and validate solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Work cross-functionally with AI, hardware, and software groups.
- Document experiments, processes, and findings clearly and thoroughly.
- Receive mentorship and regular feedback from senior engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Solid understanding of computer vision and multi-view geometry.
- Experience with visual feature matching (e.g., SuperGlue, LightGlue, XFeat, LoFTR, ROMA).
- Familiarity with deep stereo methods (e.g., FoundationStereo, high-res-stereo).
- Knowledge of point cloud processing, ICP, or 3D reconstruction.
- Understanding of motion estimation and pose recovery techniques.
- Proficiency with tools like OpenCV, Open3D, and PyTorch.
- Exposure to ROS1/ROS2 and robotics middleware.
Bonus Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with visual SLAM or structure-from-motion pipelines.
- Familiarity with GPS/IMU integration.
- Knowledge of COLMAP, GLOMAP, or similar tools.
- Exposure to ROS2 middleware (Zenoh, DDS, etc.).
- Understanding of Docker or DevOps for robotics workflows.
