Contract-to-Hire Internship – Real-Time Perception Engineering
Location: Hybrid | Tempe, AZ
Start Date: Immediate

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically curious intern to join our cutting-edge perception team in Tempe, AZ. In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of real-time perception—experimenting with state-of-the-art camera systems (including both frame-based and event-based sensors), contributing to camera calibration, and building machine learning and edge compute solutions for next-generation robotics applications. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a lab-focused environment, collaborating across hardware and software domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate and fine-tune advanced camera systems for real-time performance
• Design and implement perception algorithms on embedded and edge computing platforms
• Contribute to the development of machine learning pipelines and user interfaces
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across optics, robotics, and software

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics
• Knowledge of camera systems, sensors, and real-time processing
• Proficient in programming languages such as C++ or Python
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and robotics platforms (e.g., ROS) is a plus

• Hybrid role based in our Tempe, AZ lab
