Employees in this role will primarily work onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, who are essential to the development of our products.

US Citizenship and Immigration Status Requirements

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance.

• Required Clearance: Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)

What You Will Do

• Develop software for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

What You Will Learn

• Advanced software technologies: multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, microservices design.
• Professional software development lifecycle practices.
• Satellite ground system operations: command and telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, spacecraft operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or higher degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Entering Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate year by summer 2025.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in C++ or Java.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Java, C++, and Python.
• Familiarity with development environments like Eclipse or VS Code.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, JUnit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
• Interest in satellite ground system software development.

About the Raytheon Fellowship Program

• Participants will be submitted for a national security clearance upon acceptance.
• Eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus at program acceptance.
• Additional $10,000 signing bonus upon full-time conversion after graduation (payable within 60 days, subject to applicable withholdings).
• Agreement required to remain with Raytheon for a minimum of two years after full-time conversion.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $37,000 – $82,000 (USD)
• Final compensation depends on role, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and location.
• Eligible for annual incentive compensation programs (short-term and/or long-term).
