What You'll Do

The Cognitive Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions that leverage cognitive technologies, such as natural language processing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, to improve business processes. Reporting to our Intelligent Automation Manager, this role focuses on developing intelligent systems that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation technologies, AI, and a strong analytical mindset. Work in cross functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Develop and implement cognitive automation solutions that optimize business processes and improve efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and propose innovative solutions.
  • Technology Integration: Integrate cognitive technologies, such as NLP, machine learning, and AI, into existing automation frameworks. Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Process Analysis: Work with business stakeholders to understand process requirements and identify areas for automation. Conduct process mapping and analysis to determine the best automation strategies.
  • Development and Deployment: Design, build, and deploy automation workflows using tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, CoPilot Studio chatbots, UiPath. Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of automation solutions, making adjustments as needed to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, software developers, and data scientists, to deliver automation projects that meet business needs.
  • Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation solutions, processes, and performance metrics. Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on cognitive automation best practices.
  • Experience writing unit tests, performing code reviews and adhere to coding & branching principles
  • Experience in breaking down requirements into technical tasks and providing estimates
  • Experience with version control systems (Git and GitHub).

Qualifications

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in automation engineering, AI, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in automation platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
  • Strong understanding of cognitive technologies, such as natural language processing and machine learning.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or C#.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and analysis tools.
