Role Summary

Internship Term:

Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027.

The Advanced Energy Solutions Intern will support the continued growth and impact of all of Rivian's clean energy initiatives. This includes supporting the management of Rivian's renewable energy portfolio, analyzing and evaluating new commercial opportunities related to clean energy, and expanding the scope of existing initiatives. This role will help advance Rivian's core mission to preserve our planet for future generations, and help create new business opportunities that drive the adoption of EVs and clean charging.

Responsibilities

• Develop business cases, GTM plans, and other operational strategies for product offerings related to clean energy
• Create and improve tools and processes used for energy portfolio management and clean energy sourcing
• Engage with cross-functional partners in software, UX, marketing, and more to support deployment of features that support charging with clean energy
• Support the development and expansion of partnerships with other energy solution providers that can drive additional value for Rivian owners
• Provide general research and analytical support to highlight energy market opportunities for the AES team and leadership

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a masters degree at an accredited university
• Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Energy & Environmental Science, Energy or Environmental Policy, Engineering, Data Science or Analytics
• Prior experience in clean energy sourcing, markets, technology, or other parts of the energy sector is ideal
• Strong analytical skills, with a track record of combining data and research to support commercial initiatives
• Experience planning, launching, operating, marketing, or otherwise directly supporting the success of B2C products and services
• Flexibility to manage multiple projects and priorities, including coordinating successfully with multiple cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in data analysis tools. Knowledge of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools highly desirable

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.

Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
