Job Description

As a member of our fast-paced group, you’ll have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products from Apple. Our team includes individuals with diverse backgrounds, including distributed systems engineers, software engineers with expertise in designing and managing real-time data ingestion pipelines, and applied machine learning engineers with a focus on ML and LLMs. We are looking for people with experience in creating rich user interfaces powered by sophisticated, high performance backend systems and candidates with applied machine learning experience systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years of industry related experience, or comparable experience working in collaborative environments
• You have experience writing high-performance server software on Linux/Unix
• You are proficient in two of following languages: C/C++, Go, Python, Java, Scala

Preferred Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• You have experience with realtime ingestion pipelines
• Analyzing search ranking and relevance requirements issues and opportunities
• Building machine-learned models for search relevance ranking query understanding and questioning
• Experience with utilizing PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX for training and deploying deep learning models
• You have experience with RESTful services and supporting production environments

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
