Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager role will lead the Reporting and Data Visualization team to support the Risk Quality Consumer (RQC) business unit. This role involves managing the development and maintenance of BI solutions that enhance business performance and drive organizational growth. The incumbent will

be responsible for the daily activities of a team of data analysts, managing the intake process, gathering requirements, estimating resources, prioritizing requests, and ensuring that deliverables are completed on time to meet or exceed the stakeholder's expectations. They will collaborate with various business partners to identify data needs, create analytical solutions, and ensure data integrity and accuracy. BI Manager is responsible for recruiting,

training, and evaluating the performance of team members. They will lead, mentor, and develop the Business Intelligence team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI tools, dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for BI-related inquiries and requests from various business teams.
  • Ensure data visualization and reporting solutions effectively communicate complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Consult with the operations, product, sales, and client services teams to understand business use cases, gather requirements, define KPIs, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines.
  • Operate in an agile environment and collaborate with other agile teams to estimate resources and set deadlines.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and developers to integrate data from various sources and ensure data quality.
  • Collaborate with data management teams and stakeholders to maintain a centralized and well-documented reporting and metrics repository.
  • Ensure that report specification documents and user guides are completed accurately, validated, delivered on time, and properly stored.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of BI tools and solutions.
  • Develop and implement the BI strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in BI solutions.
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that is able to assist in employing best-in-class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction. Required.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned. Required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, DOMO) SAL, SSIS, SSRS, data warehousing, and data modeling. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, R) is a plus.

Mental Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing BI team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Occasional travel for meetings and conferences.

Base compensation ranges from $115,000 to $145,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
