Role purpose:

The AI & Automation Technical Lead is responsible for guiding the technical direction of AI and automation projects while leading a team of multilevel engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutions that meet client needs. This role necessitates strong leadership skills, a focus on team development, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Lead and manage a team of AI and automation professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to enhance their technical and professional growth.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and testing protocols to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Oversee the design and implementation of complex AI and automation solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project objectives and risks, ensuring on-time delivery through informed decision-making.
• Monitor team performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations to ensure continuous improvement.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of AI technologies, automation tools (e.g., machine learning, cloud solutions), and software development practices.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills to assess and resolve technical and interpersonal challenges across various project scopes.
• Solid understanding of escalation management to achieve project and team objectives.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in the software engineering industry.
• 4+ years of experience in AI and automation engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in leading diverse technical teams.
• SAFe Certified is a plus.
• Exceptional presentation and reporting skills.
