VP, Data
As Vice President of Data, you will shape and execute the vision for how data empowers Prodigy’s growth and mission. You'll lead our Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science teams, driving innovation, strategic insights, and a culture of data fluency across the organization. This executive-level role is pivotal in positioning data as a cornerstone of business strategy and product development.
Location: Remote across Canada and the US
Your Impact
- Develop and drive a forward-looking data vision and strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Lead high-performing teams across data engineering, analytics, and science, delivering actionable insights and scalable solutions.
- Champion the adoption of modern data tools, technologies, and best practices to fuel innovation.
- Collaborate with the executive team to embed data into strategic planning and decision-making.
- Own and manage the enterprise data roadmap, ensuring efficient resource allocation and measurable business impact.
- Guide organizational change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation of new data methodologies and tools.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations regarding data privacy and governance.
- Cultivate a data-driven mindset across all departments, promoting data literacy and impactful use of analytics.
About You
- Proven leadership of end-to-end data functions (engineering, analytics, science) in dynamic, multi-sided platform environments—preferably in B2C SaaS.
- Strong business acumen and a track record of aligning data initiatives with high-level strategic goals.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in data architecture, advanced analytics, and scalable data solutions.
- Experience leading digital transformation and change management initiatives.
- Strong program/project management capabilities, including roadmap ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Passion for mentoring and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
- Ability to influence organizational strategy and build trust with executive leadership through data-driven storytelling.
- Comprehensive understanding of data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
