This role is pivotal in coordinating and orchestrating the efforts of various engineering teams across the globe. Serving as the technical Release Management expert, leading the charge for our UK engineering teams, with a focus on on-device efficiency and seamless integration. This individual will be the driving force behind our release processes, optimising CI/CD pipelines, and fine-tuning our playbooks to perfection. They are the ultimate problem solver, adept at tracking down issues, proposing future-proof solutions, and ensuring that our production environments are stable. Beyond release management, this role is a cross-functional bridge builder, fostering communication, and driving process improvements. They are the voice of our customers, championing quality and reliability at every turn. This person will be the go-to expert for after-hours support, handling hotfixes with precision and grace, and ensuring that our systems are always up and running. They are the data-driven detective, using comprehensive analytics and reporting to measure performance, capacity, and reliability, and making data-informed decisions to keep our operations running smoothly. In essence, this role is the perfect blend of technical expertise, leadership, and customer-centricity, making them the ideal candidate to orchestrate our engineering efforts and deliver exceptional results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical Program/Project Management experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of the organization.
  • High operational precision and attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure, with bonus points for past Engineering experience.
  • Experience with global on-call and asynchronous work with globally distributed teams.
  • Proven experience in DevOps, engineering efficiency, and deployment processes, release management, including defining release schedules, processes, bug bars, and software life cycle phases (SDLC).
  • Proven track record of driving dramatic improvements in team quality, performance, agility, or effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and solve complex technical issues.
  • Experience in managing rapid-response actions for critical issues.
  • Ability to foster collaboration between cross-functional teams and drive functional and technical Knowledge of machine learning integration and deployment pipelines is preferred but not mandatory.
