Our location in Lake County, IL currently has an opportunity for a Data Application Engineer as part of our NAVICA program.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The NAVICA Reporting team builds data application solutions to meet the requirements of public health agencies, and customers. The work requires collaboration and teamwork across the entire NAVICA application ecosystem and architecture. The Reporting team also supports stakeholder’s information needs to manage NAVICA system operations.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing cloud native Azure applications, API’s, data pipelines, analytical services, and CI/CD functions
• Developing for multiple types of data technologies including NoSQL, data lakes, and relational databases
• Designing high-performing and resilient application & data architectures that can be deployed and maintained with automated tooling
• Provide subject matter expertise and hands on delivery of data capture, transformation and consumption pipelines on Azure
• Deliver in a fast-paced, product oriented, Agile delivery environment alongside a team of dedicated and experienced engineering peers
• Troubleshooting issues and problem solving as necessary.
• Keeping current with industry trends and developments that can be applied to company needs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience or more experience in cloud native services in Azure (preferred), AWS (acceptable).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong knowledge of working in Cloud environments (Azure and AWS) leveraging various web application development and deployment technologies
• NET Core, C#, python, and json experience highly preferred
• Data visualization engineering experience desirable
• HL7 v2.5.1, and FHIR experience also desirable
• Familiarity with test driven development and knowledge of test automation frameworks; Github, Github Actions, and workflow experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving.
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team, or unsupervised as required.
