Job Description

Dominion Energy, one of the nation’s largest producers of energy, is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and innovative student with a strong interest in Information Technology within a large corporate environment. This summer of 2025 internship is specifically designed for a student with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026.

Dominion is looking for an intern with interest in learning and contributing to the work performed within our Enterprise Data and Analytics team. 

The Data Scientist Intern will support the IT Enterprise data and analytics team by assisting in data analysis, model development, and data strategy implementation. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in data science and analytics, contributing to the overall success of our data initiatives.

Primary Duties:

• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing.
• Develop and implement machine learning models.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and solve data-related challenges.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Must be a current student in a Bachelor's Degree program. Coursework and a strong interest in the field of Data Science strongly preferred. 
• Prefer student with target graduation in Spring of 2026,

Education Requirements

• Must be a current student in a Bachelor's Degree program. Prefer students majoring in Computer Science, Data Analytics Machine Learning or Data Science.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
